Stanley Lim is a veteran yoga practitioner, educator and trainer. He discovered yoga while recuperating from severe leg injuries sustained in a traffic accident in 1999. After his recovery, Stanley continued yoga practice and incorporated it into his daily regimen to seek a more holistic lifestyle. Yoga not only helped him to recover from injuries, it has also enhanced his inner peace and sanctity.
In 2002, Stanley started to practice full-time with the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, the eminent Ashtanga guru and his grandson, Sharath Rangaswamy. Four years later, Stanley received blessing (authorised I and II) and became the first in Singapore to teach the Ashtanga system under the name "Ashtanga Yoga Singapore".
In his pursuit of knowledge, Stanley moved to Shanghai in 2008 for 5 years to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture and Tuina) and Eastern philosophy, the system that binds us together with the law of nature.
Stanley also studied under two founding teachers of Yin Yoga – Paul Grilley (Yin and Anatomy) and Sarah Power (Yin Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation). Now he offers the element of Yin and Yang Style Yoga and Nada (Sound) therapy using instruments such as Singing Bowls and Gongs in his classes.

Experience all the benefits of meditation, without the effort. Using special meditation gongs, Stanley will take you to a state of release, relaxation and calming of the mind. All you need to do is to relax lying down and allow your body to bathe in the resonating sound waves. The gong’s multi-layered vibrations directly impact the parasympathetic nervous system, slow down the brainwave frequency and may even stimulate an altered state of consciousness conducive to healing and transformation.
